I really want to thank Dainese and AGV Helmets for protecting me this past weekend during my crash.
This past weekend at Laguna Seca was a roller coaster. In FP1 I had a mishap with the new tires and I went down. Then in Q1 which was my first full session and I was able to put down a fast time. I was having some issues with the bike so I knew that I could drop more time. Q2 did not go my way so I just focused on the race.
For the race all I wanted to do was get a good start… and make my way through the pack. So at the start I had gotten probably 6 guys going into turn 2. A rider up ahead of me then high sided himself and caused a chain reaction and I ended up going down. I went to medical after the crash because my back was hurting, and nothing ended up being broken, I had just stretched the muscle.
I am looking forward to this 2 month break to be able to test out my new bike.
